With yesterday's announcement from the Government of Ontario, there have been some questions on what this means for Kincardine & District Minor Soccer in 2021.
Our planning so far has been to have a later start and modified season (vs. historical start after May long weekend), so we are continuing with that approach for a 2021 Return To Play (RTP) season and will keep everyone posted. We have strong interest from the community (over 550 kids pre-registered so far) and continue to be hopeful that conditions and Ontario will be favourable to have soccer soon.
We will be looking forward to the June 2nd update from the Govt of Ontario before we will know for sure what will be possible.
The Timbits Minor Sports Program is a community-oriented sponsorship program that provides opportunities for kids aged four to nine to play house league sports. The philosophy of the program is not based on winning or losing, but on learning a new sport, making new friends, and just being a kid.
