What's going on update!

Summer soccer will be here before we know it so there’s lots of planning going on behind the scenes! Brace yourself, this is a super long email but it’s full of lots of important information.

Nights of play

We aim to keep the nights of play consistent from season to season but depending on the number of teams we have and decisions from other leagues we play in, things can change. We will confirm nights of play as soon as we can!

Teammate Requests

We understand wanting your kid to play on the same team as a friend but with over 500 kids registered it’s nearly impossible to keep the teams balanced and give everyone their requests. We always do our best, especially when dealing with special circumstances.

Soccer Development Clinic (Day program)

We are excited to announce a new partnership with Iain Hume Limitless Football and Fitness Coaching. Iain Hume, co-founder and retired professional Canadian Soccer player, will be running the development clinic the first week of July! Registration will be limited so keep an eye on your email for registration information.

House league - U12 and U15

We didn’t get a ton of responses to the poll so the executive is still trying to figure out if both a house league and lakeshore team will work for these age groups. We will confirm the direction for this season by mid-March.

2020 Birth Year Program

Numbers are pretty low for participants and volunteers at this time. We are looking at offering a small group program but have to confirm the logistics (field availability, volunteers, etc). We will confirm by the end of March.

Registration deadline

You can register for summer soccer programs until March 31st. Register on our website www.Kincardinesoccer.com

Referees

Soccer across the province is struggling to find enough referees to support our summer programs. If you or someone you know is interested in becoming a referee please contact us at kincardineminorsoccer@gmail.com and we can tell you more about the certification process and when the upcoming training sessions are being held.

Volunteers

Our season will not be successful without volunteers. All of our coaches, executive members and directors are volunteers.

We have many volunteer opportunities that don’t require a huge commitment or any soccer knowledge!

Some examples include:

  • field and equipment prep
  • jersey numbering
  • tournaments (day of)
  • coordinating other events or initiatives
  • etc.

If you are interested in helping please contact us at kincardineminorsoccer@gmail.com

Even if you only have a few hours before, after or during the season we would be eternally grateful for the help! We are very short on volunteers and a successful season depends on them!

Sponsorship

To keep the costs of our programs low we are hoping to find sponsors to offset our expenses. We have opportunities for sponsors to have branded flags at the fields, logos on shirts, etc. if you own a business or know a business that might be interested, please get in touch with one of the executive members or contact kincardineminorsoccer@gmail.com.
